Ladakh & Nepal

Back to life.

It was 2012. It was my first big trip outside the old continent. It was all new and exciting and it was ‘the Dream’. Since I was a kid a dreamed of going to faraway lands where mountains were the highest, the sky blu and the air thin.

I dreamed of lands of small Buddhist temples at the foothills of the Himalayas, small villages of mud houses and green valleys and rocky deserts. I dreamed of lands where people worship nature and live life slowly, where beauty is in the silence and in the smell of butter lamp in tiny monasteries at sunset.

It was a short trip in duration and yes, it does sound very stereotypical: ‘I went to India' and my life changed forever’…nothing Changed, nothing was new, I just remembered what I was supposed to be doing and how. I went back home, closed chapters, filled a bag and went back on doing what I started when I was a little girl.
